Greetings from District 4,

I continue to focus on bringing in members by visiting non-union shops and advancing the IBEW. I also had the distinct honor among Local 11 members to participate in the 55th Annual Chicano Moratorium March and Rally. This event has changed during these times with different causes but never forgetting one of the most prominent issues from the 1970s, the demise of LA Times outspoken reporter Ruben Salazar. He spoke out on Chicano issues back then and in the present time the March and Rally has a new focus, Stand with Palestine, and ICE out of LA. The hot summer day did not stop the community from showing up in full force ready to stand up for what is right. The march ended with a great rally at Salazar Park with entertainment, food, and drinks.

We must remember, “An Injury to One, Is an Injury to All.”
