Drive any freeway in Southern California and you’ll see construction in every direction. Many of those hard-working men and women are skilled and trained IBEW Transportation System members helping to strengthen our region’s critical infrastructure.

Adding to this already active sector, the State of California has just approved $4.9 billion to make roads and highways safer, smarter, and more efficient. Among the largest projects is a $700 million upgrade to the Vincent Thomas Bridge at the Port of Los Angeles.

This means more work for our members along with creating and advancing electrical careers throughout the construction industry. The future of transportation in Southern California is bright, and IBEW members are proud to be leading the way.
