Greetings from District 4,

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with your friends and family.

Local 11 participated during the holiday season—members volunteered at the Turkey/Food Basket giveaway at the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Boyle Heights and at our very own Electrical Training Center for the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway sponsored by Labor Community Services. Both events were an enormous success, feeding lots of families.

Also, Local 11 members volunteered their time to grill over 3,000 hamburgers and hot dogs at the yearly Miracle on 1st Street Toy Giveaway at the Hollenbeck Youth Center. This event is amazing—over 10,000 toys are given away to kids in the Boyle Heights neighborhood, including a special appearance from Santa Claus.

For all those lost along the way, may you hold their memory close. It is the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey.
