District 1 South Report — July 2022

  1. Intuit Dome/Clippers Arena – SASCO Electric is doing the single line portion of the project and will soon be requesting manpower. CSI Electric is performing the interior tenant portion of the project and ProCal Lighting will be doing the Temp power. GECTWO will be doing the Broadcast Room for this project. Touchstone Electric will be installing low voltage systems as well.
  2. Crypto.com Arena – Summit Swing will be calling for manpower at the beginning of August for an aggressive two 12-hour shifts to install LED panels inside the arena, estimated to span 6-8 weeks.
  3. Kaiser Watts – Briggs Electric is performing the electrical for this medical office project and will be needing more manpower as the project continues to come out of the ground.
  4. Weingart Tower – SASCO Electric is the electrical contractor for this project currently in the very early stages and will be needing manpower.
  5. California Science Center building and Natural History Museum in Exposition Park where the Lucas Museum is, has been funded and will be coming soon. Look for that project to be awarded to one of our NECA contractors.
  6. L.A. Southwest College – CSI Electric will be the electrical contractor on the New Student Union. It looks to be a long project, just starting underground work.
  7. 6th and San Julian is a Taft Electric project in the very early stages of construction.
  8. Metro Division 20 – a very long Metro project that has Fisk Electric setting the vaults and RBT Electric will be pulling all the hundreds of feet of wire on this project.
  9. Breaking ground is a 4-building project on the corner of Manchester and Vermont. This was awarded to Baker Electric and it will be a long project.
  10. Southgate Educational Center is a huge new campus for LAUSD and has been awarded to Cupertino Electric. This is a multi-year project that will soon be calling out our members.
