District 4 Report — December 2023

Happy New Year Brothers and Sisters!

I hope everyone will have a happy holiday and be able to spend quality time with your families.

Our annual holiday party, in December, was a huge success, attended by many members and their families. Heather made sure that there were many fun activities for all the kids in attendance. The food was great and was enjoyed by all.

This year’s work picture will be better than last year with many projects getting ready to break all over Local 11! One job I have been looking forward to is the 14-terminal replacement at Burbank Airport. Temporary power will begin sometime around the middle of February.

Hopefully by the time this is being read, Mortensen’s 80 mega watt battery storage facility will be in full construction mode.

LAUSD and LACCD projects will continue to keep many of our members employed.
