Manufacturing Report – December 2023

Hello. I hope this finds you and yours well. I want to wish all a happy holiday season.

Kinkisharyo is working hard on the Metro refurbishing contract with the P2550 trains. We are working hard, trying to find more contracts in their future and hoping to hear more on the Olympic train contract in the New Year.

Unfortunately, we were notified that Covanta will not be renewing their contract with the City of Long Beach. We will be meeting with the company to negotiate a severance package for our members. I will have more info in the coming weeks.

With EAA, we have been working hard on an organizing campaign to get all the City Council aides represented. This will bring more than 350 new members into EAA membership.
