Refineries Report – December 2023

Work in our refineries has slowed down in the fourth quarter. Many of our refinery contractors are now preparing for work which is scheduled to pick up in January 2024.

We are looking for members of all classifications to work in the refineries this upcoming year. Most all refineries will need journeypersons, both Inside Wiremen and Sound and Communication workers, along with apprentices in each of the classifications. Our refinery contractors will also be hiring certified instrumentation technicians.

Most all of our refineries are in the process of converting many of their crude oil processing units into units which produce clean burning fuels. The certifications needed for our refineries are: RSO 20, TWIC, OSHA 30, NFPA70E, and Process Instrumentation level A and level B.
