District 4 Report — July 2022

Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I’d like to thank all of you who came out and voted for our new contract. I am looking forward to a busy summer with many jobs getting ready to start and a lot of jobs that will continue to hire for the next several months.

President Biden has committed to spending billions of dollars on electric vehicle charging stations across the nation. Legislators are willing to require certification to perform this work. I urge all of you to contact ETI to register for the EVTIP class and to get your certification. We want to get ahead of the non-union to get the work for our members. President Stevenson has told every local to get their members certified and Local 11 is committed to get 1,000 of our members certified in the next couple of months. This is an online course, but you must register with ETI to have this count towards continued education credit.

It is hot out there, so stay hydrated. As always, be safe on the job and look out for your Brothers and Sisters.

I look forward to seeing all of you at our annual picnic on Aug. 6 at the Hollywood Sports Park.

Marc Greenfield
Business Representative
