District 4 Report — September 2022

Greetings Brothers and Sisters from District 4,

I hope everyone had a good summer and was able to spend quality time with your family and friends.

I am kind of disappointed with the slow work picture right now, knowing there are billions of dollars of projected projects slated to start. Hopefully things will pick up before the end of the year.

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of our unit officers for all their hard work and commitment, Brian Thomas, Unit Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Welfare Committee, Terry (The Pen) Norton, Unit Recording Secretary and Recording Secretary of the Welfare Committee, also, the members of the Welfare Committee: Gus Marino, Pat Swain, Zack Soloman, and Butch Bachand. I need to thank our District 4 Secretary, Heather, for her outstanding work keeping this office running like a well-oiled machine. Thank you for your patience with me and our members. I am sure our members really appreciate your dedication to helping them.

On a personal note, I would also like to say how proud I am of my son, Joel Greenfield, our District 4 Unit Chairman and Chairman of the Welfare Committee, for his enthusiasm and dedication to running the unit meetings and turning the District 4 Welfare Committee into a merchandising powerhouse. His insight and marketing skills have increased the assets of the Welfare Fund to be able to help Brothers and Sisters in need for years to come! Thank you.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming District 4 Hall functions. Our Chili Cookoff will be held on Saturday, October 15. Our Blood Drive, hosted with Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, will be held on November 1-2. Also, don’t forget our annual Holiday Party that will be held on Tuesday, December 6.

Keep your certifications current, take the EVITP class, be safe and look out for your Brothers and Sisters on the job.

Sincerely,

Marc Greenfield
