District 1 North Report — February 2022

Brothers and Sisters, I hope this finds you and your family well. 

It was great to see Local 11’s hard work spotlighted during the Super Bowl.  Great job to all who were involved with the SoFi Stadium project.

Work seems to be holding steady in D1 north.  LAUSD work continues, as do the Prop HHH projects in Koreatown and East L.A. We should see members starting another mixed-use project on Wilshire as demo is wrapping up.  The Crossroads Hollywood near Sunset and Highland will have two towers, and this will be a mix of commercial, residential and some studios.  Demo still needs to happen for the Crossroads project.  Kaiser on Sunset continues to keep a few projects moving and Hollywood Presbyterian is ongoing but has started layoffs.

Let’s keep looking out for each other on the job.  The temperature spikes we experienced close to the Super Bowl were a great reminder to stay hydrated.  Don’t wait until you are thirsty to drink water.
