District 6 Report — January 2022

Hello to all, Brothers and Sisters,

Welcome to 2022! I hope the new year has brought you and your loved ones a great beginning.

I want to give you some insight of the future in our backyard. Down the pipeline of work for us will be the Mt. SAC project and SGV schools and cities EV installation projects for Pomona, La Puente, Hacienda Heights, and El Monte School Districts. I’m glad to say this work came about through the political efforts and relationships of Local 11.

The Irwindale Brewing Company, aka the old Miller plant, will be needing more workers to aid in their constant efforts to help the plant grow, thankfully, with Johnson Peltier. Morrow Meadows and its work on the Legacy Projects looks very good and is closing in on completion. Rancho Los Amigos sports complex continues and may soon be in need of more manpower. Baker Electric will soon be needing our assistance as well on its Queen of the Valley project. Mass Electric at the Gold Line Foothill extension project will be ramping up sooner rather than later, so be ready! Also, La Mirada High School will be building a new football stadium as well. There’s more to come, so be ready and keep the certs up!

The D6 Hall will be hosting ETI classes for foremanship and LAQSPsoon. Contact me for further information or stop by and see us to talk about the details. As always, you can look forward to further details about volunteering events during which we give back to the less fortunate. I also hope to see more of you at our unit meetings.

Take good care and stay low under the COVID radar. May God bless our union and your families during these times.

Feel free to call me if I can help you out in any way. I am humbly honored to serve and glad to help.
