District 1 South Report — October 2021

The LA CAR SHOW is coming to the LA Convention Center at the beginning of November. They are requesting full vaccination to perform work there.

Taft Electric has a three-year project at Huntington Park High where many buildings are being demolished and rebuilt in phases. Look out for that project.

SEED Project located at Vermont and Manchester Boulevards is a school that has housing for students and faculty. The contractor is

Touchstone Electric. The GC has started the dirt work and will start needing the underground in a month or so.

Ingraham Apartments and La Veranda Apartments are being done by MG Electric. They have signed a PLA and we are trying to organize them. They are a 50–75-man shop and are in the very early stages of construction. They will need manpower shortly.

Intuit Dome, the future Clippers arena located across from SoFi Stadium, has Touchstone Electric doing the temporary power currently. More of the work will be awarded in the coming weeks. They have to dig 40 feet deep before substantial construction can begin.
