District 5 — November Report

Hello Brothers and Sisters from the High Desert,

As the holidays approach it is great to see the work picture so good. The books are down and employment up. We have been holding steadfast working the Defense Plants, Antelope Valley College, Palmdale School District, Kaiser Medical facilities, etc.… In the future we will have more solar work, work at the Antelope Valley Transit Authority and the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.

It is with great news that I announce through the Business Managers office and Business Development that we have secured another Community Workforce Agreement with Antelope Valley Hospital. This will be a great addition to our agreements with millions of dollars worth of work coming out.

I would like to welcome Brother George Martinez who recently joined our District 5 Executive/Welfare committees. Thank you George, it is so much appreciated.

We will soon start gearing up for the politics ahead of us. With our Congresswoman leaving office and other seats up for election it will be a busy time. All the help we can get would be great!

I would personally like to thank our stewards, officers and members for all their hard work and participation throughout the year.

To all our Brothers and Sisters have a great and safe holiday season. Don’t forget our holiday party will be December 10 at the D5 Hall.
